Our combined experience covers skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, home health, and rehabilitation. We’ve achieved significant growth, managing up to 42 communities across 22 states with margins exceeding 43%. Our expertise includes working with aggressive proforma targets for construction/new openings, developing annual community budgets, P&L analysis, strategic action plans, and stakeholder collaboration. Despite challenges during the COVID pandemic, we maintained safety, hospitality, and profitability. In sales and marketing, we excel in surpassing occupancy targets, driving revenue, and executing targeted campaigns. We’ve successfully repositioned legacy communities and guided strategic turnarounds.

Kim Lewis, President

Kim Lewis exemplifies the hallmark of leadership and dedication within the senior living industry. With a career spanning over three decades, Kim has navigated through various executive roles, showcasing her unparalleled expertise and commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. Born in Cooperstown, New York, and a proud alumna of SUNY with a degree in human services, Kim’s early passion for senior care has been the driving force behind her successful career. Her tenure at prestigious organizations such as Brookdale Senior Living, Harbor Retirement Associates, Care Bridge Corporation, and Senior Lifestyle Corporation underscores her versatile leadership and operational acumen. Kim’s strategic approach to census achievement, revenue growth, and resource utilization, coupled with her profound knowledge in budgeting, finance, and risk management, has yielded remarkable outcomes. Her leadership is not just about achieving metrics; it’s about fostering a culture of care, integrity, and continuous learning. Kim’s journey through the industry, impacting lives across 23 states, is a testament to her servant leadership philosophy and her ability to cultivate strong, result-driven teams. Beyond her professional achievements, Kim’s personal life, shared with her husband Paul and their five children, reflects the balance and values that have undoubtedly contributed to her success and the respect she commands in the senior living community.

Lori Vandekerckhove

Lori Vandekerckhove, Chief Operating Officer

Lori brings over 25 years of experience in Senior Living, including Assisted Living, Memory Care and lndependent Living. Lori fell in love with senior living, in 8th grade while volunteering at a nursing home in upstate New York. She went on to graduate from Flagler College with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Gerontology, while playing on the Women’s Basketball team. She started working after college as an Activities Assistant and began to work her way up to Memory Care Director, Executive Director, Regional Director of Operations, and Divisional Vice President. She achieved strong results with high census, strong financials, and built successful teams. Lori developed plans to meet NOi expectations with community census, and all other revenue streams. She has a successful track record of implementing improvement in all facets of community operations, sales, hospitality, physical plant, and budgetary expectations. Lori lives in Boca Raton, Florida with her husband Ian and son Ian Jr.

Susan Grande, Operations Specialist

Susan is an accomplished senior living executive with a proven track record in team development, operational enhancements, and elevating customer service satisfaction. Driven by goals and equipped with a diverse skill set, including strong fiscal management, sales and marketing expertise, mentorship, compliance, community engagement, occupancy growth, and staff retention. She is dedicated to fostering relationships, enhancing client satisfaction, and excelling in dementia care.

Susan has held roles as Executive Director or Nursing Home Administrator as required, she oversaw successful launches of new communities by preparing for state licensing, recruiting new staff, building cohesive teams, and supporting the sales department to exceed proforma goals.

Serving as LNHA and ALF Administrator, she attained and upheld a CMS five-star rating, established an outstanding Dementia program, boosted census figures in both SNF and ALF facilities. Introduced a successful CNA mentorship initiative to enhance staff retention and eliminate the necessity for agency staff. Secured a $60,000 CMP grant for dementia training.

Susan’s certifications and licenses include: Florida Nursing Home Administrator, Core Trained ALF Administrator, Geriatric Scholar Program Certification, PAC Certified Dementia Consultant, PAC Certified Engagement Leader, and Certified Integrative Life Coach.

Christopher Thompson

Christopher Thompson, Senior Vice President

Christopher Thompson stands as a paragon of leadership and innovation in the Culinary and Hospitality sectors, embodying a blend of profound industry expertise and a fervent dedication to enhancing senior living. With a rich tapestry of experience spanning 29 years, his journey through various esteemed positions, including Executive Chef, Culinary Dean, and Director of Business Operations and Finance, has culminated in his impactful role as Senior Vice President at Trifecta. Christopher’s multifaceted career is distinguished by his certification as an Executive Chef and his dynamic involvement in culinary education, restaurant and private club management, underscoring a remarkable proficiency and a holistic understanding of the hospitality landscape. His tenure is marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and a transformative approach to leadership. As a Servant Leader, he cultivates an environment where compassion, respect, and love are paramount, driving forward a vision where the lives of seniors are enriched through unparalleled hospitality, engaging Life Enrichment programs, and premium amenities. Christopher Thompson’s leadership not only propels Trifecta’s mission forward but also sets a benchmark for excellence in the industry, making a lasting impact on the communities he serves.

Sheila Wilson was a visionary leader and the driving force behind KSL and Partners, as her idea,  she served as Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Her remarkable career, spanning over three decades, transformed the senior living industry, setting new benchmarks for innovation, care, and operational excellence. Sheila’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors and her leadership through times of growth and challenge are a testament to her extraordinary character and unparalleled expertise.

Although Sheila is no longer with us, her partners at KSL will honor her legacy by continuing the mission she so passionately led. We are committed to carrying forward her vision with the same dedication and compassion that she exemplified every day. Her legacy of innovation, care, and transformative leadership  will lives on.
